Reigning Slater & Frith champions East Ruston were sunk 3-0 at home to Gimingham, North Walsham Old Boys beat Erpingham by the odd goal of five and last season's challengers Lyng and Mundesley shared honours from an eight-goal thriller.
In Wayford Nurseries Division Two Aylsham A won a high-scoring opener against Buxton Reserves 13-6 while relegated Dilham got off to a flyer, beating Felmingham 6-1 while formidable Bodham slammed Runton 7-0. Newcomers to Knights Trophies Division Three Holt Colts lost their opener to Aldborough Reserves 2-1.
