A triple dose of good news on the injury front has widened City boss Glenn Roeder's selection options ahead of Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship match at home to Coventry.

Apart from three new loan signings coming into his thinking after the arrival of Matty Pattison, Mo Camara and Ched Evans, Roeder also expects to have Dion Dublin and Luke Chadwick available again, while defender Martin Taylor is making good progress after a groin injury.

Dublin missed the last two games with a hamstring problem, while a similar injury forced Chadwick to miss the 3-0 defeat at Plymouth.

“They're both training and training well, and Taylor has a good chance of being fit,” said Roeder.

Taylor hobbled off in the first half at Plymouth but a fortnight's break has given him the chance to recover.

In addition, long-term casualties Mark Fotheringham and Gary Doherty could come into the reckoning for the senior side after returning to action for City Reserves on Monday night.

“They definitely come into the frame. They will be involved in the squad,” said Roeder.
