Daniel Farke and Sean Dyche may have radically different views on how to play the game but the Norwich City chief has huge respect for his Burnley rival.
City were bullied at Turf Moor in an early season 2-0 Premier League defeat, and Farke expects another bruising encounter with a spot in the FA Cup fifth round up for grabs.
The Canaries' head coach, however, is an admirer of Dyche's methods.
"There's no right or wrong way. Everything is allowed, different approaches can be successful. What I like is to see the identity and the philosophy of a head coach, and you get that watching Burnley," said Farke.
"Without realising the colour of the shirt you know what a Burnley side looks like. They have a clear identity and they stick to it. It doesn't have to be the same identity as other clubs.
"They are quite unique, but I am full of respect.
"Sean Dyche has done a fantastic job, you can see his handwriting all over that team and they are very difficult to play against. It is no coincidence they can go and win at a place like Manchester United.
"They have picked up those results in recent years in the Premier League."
Farke had demanded his side show more bravery in possession, in the aftermath of September's 2-0 away defeat at the Clarets.
"Burnley, especially at home, is always intense in their pressing," he said. "We need to be brave to by-pass this pressing and keep the ball under pressure. They have a side full of physicality and there will be moments when we have to withstand this battle; very direct and so strong on set pieces. We need periods where we dominate possession to keep that aggressiveness away from our goal.
"We are not the favourite but there's a chance to go in the fifth round. Burnley is a settled Premier League team who are back in a decent position in the table but without any doubt we can win.
"Maybe it is a bit unrealistic to speak about winning the FA Cup for a team like Norwich, but we want to be as successful as we can and when there's a chance we want to reach the next round."
Farke is pledging changes after a gruelling Tottenham shift.
"We arrived back in Norwich in the early hours of Thursday morning, no proper sleep and after a tough game for the boys," he said. "It was one of the matches where we covered the most distance on the pitch during this entire season.
"There's lots of competition in our squad so to bring some more energy on the pitch makes sense.
"Each and every good performance and good result is a boost to the confidence. In the league games, with our position in the table, there is pressure to win points, especially the last home game against Bournemouth when there was so much pressure on the team.
"We can't lose so much in this one."
