Ralf Fahrmann will make his Premier League debut at Crystal Palace if he suffers no reaction to a return to team training on Friday.

Fahrmann is in line to replace Tim Krul, who is likely to be out until the other side of the upcoming international break with a lower back problem.

Alex Tettey also misses out for the trip to Selhurst Park with a groin injury suffered at Burnley. Fahrmann missed last weekend's 2-0 league defeat with a similar problem but head coach Daniel Farke confirmed at Colney on Friday he is poised to replace Krul.

"We have been pretty careful with him to extend the load and the intensity," said Farke. "Today (Friday) was the first day he was back in team training, he did quite well, but let's see how his body and groin react. If he is ready to go he will play.

"He was in an unbelievable shape and it was only Tim's form that meant he had to wait for his chance. I don't expect after seven or eight days out we will see him lose too much fitness.

"Realistically Tim Krul will not be available until the Bournemouth game after the international break. No chance for this game. Tim has not really been allowed to move and the muscle has to settle down.

"A bit improved but just a bit of gym work this week, he's not able to run or join in team training.

"Sometimes you have a strange period like this. We spoke before the season about a newly-promoted side needing some luck with not the biggest squad and we have been hit pretty hard."

Only Max Aarons is available from the club's longer term injury absentees.

"He returned back to team training two days ago, a bit quicker than expected, but due to him and the work of the fitness guys. He will travel with us," said Farke. "Alex Tettey has a small groin injury.

"Realistic for Bournemouth, maybe a little bit of hope for Aston Villa if he can re-join training. Mario Vrancic still out. Onel Hernandez and Tom Trybull, still out.

"The same with the longer term injuries like Timm Klose and Christoph Zimmermann. Zimmermann was our leader a little bit last season and so crucial for our success. Klose, our most experienced defender.

"You could compare it a bit like Liverpool playing without Virgil van Dijk or (Joel) Matip.

"Even a top class side would not have it that easy so it is more difficult for us."
