Norwich City head coach Daniel Farke is more worried about halting Arsenal’s superstar strike duo than the impact of Unai Emery’s sudden exit.

The Norwich City chief admits he expects a strong response from the Gunners' squad at Carrow Road after Emery's dismissal following a dire run of results.

Farke has the inside track on the Premier League's current golden boot winner, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, from their time at Borussia Dortmund, while partner Alexandre Lacazette is another fearsome frontman.

"They have outstanding quality in the forward positions," he said. "I would say we face two world class strikers in the same team.

"They are both capable of scoring 25 goals a season and behind them they have options like (Mesut) Ozil, who has proved he can be a genius, Pepe, a top class winger with potential. To be good in our defensive behaviour will be a key topic in this game.

"Pierre-Emerick is world class for me. He has delivered over a number of years, not one good year. He goes into double figures every season.

"He was outstanding in Germany and the same last season in England. A great character, a really good guy and someone you look forward to having in the team, because it's not only the quantity but he always has a smile on the face and he is a joker.

"I like meeting Pierre-Emerick but I would prefer not to meet him on the pitch. We can't avoid it and we have to be unbelievably awake to control his quality."

Emery's departure underlines the volatility of Farke's profession.

"Unai is a highly recommended coach but even sometimes on this level it doesn't work out between a club, a team and the coach. You can't explain it," he said.

"There's just a handful of coaches in the world who have not been sacked during their whole career, so in that respect it is quite normal.

"Arsenal is still one of the best clubs in Europe, one of the best in this country and I think it would be quite disrespectful for someone at Norwich City to try and judge what has gone wrong in the past."
