Daniel Farke revealed fresh concerns over Todd Cantwell, Jamal Lewis and Ben Godfrey ahead of a Premier League game against Aston Villa where Grant Hanley joins the longer term casualty list.

Farke delivered another lengthy injury bulletin at Colney on Friday afternoon. Here is the transcript around the latest fitness concerns.

Grant Hanley (groin)

He has got a setback with his groin injury. He was alright for two weeks but since Wednesday he felt again some problems and we tried everything to bring him onto the training pitch.

But there was no chance for him to handle the load and for that, yes, he will need to see a specialist on Monday to find out what the reasons are. At the moment we can't explain why there is the same problem for several weeks with his groin but sadly no chance for him to play on Saturday.

Jamal Lewis (elbow)

Yes, he will be with us and there's a good chance to play. It's just a ligament damage, nothing broken. It is painful but we can find some solutions that he will be on the pitch. And he is also a tough lad. It is good news because he was also a major, major concern after the last game, but he will be available.

It's not a cast he needs to wear, more like tape. He will feel this problem a bit for three or four weeks, but he wasn't the best guy in terms of throw ins anyway. So for that, it's not another major concern.

Todd Cantwell (hamstring)

There's a little doubt, a little question mark behind Todd Cantwell for this weekend. He had some hamstring problems and he was out Wednesday and Thursday. He returned back to the training pitch on Friday. It looked a lot better and we have to wait a bit now to see how his body reacts but I hope to have him available.

Ben Godfrey (hernia op planned)

Yes, Ben will need to have surgery because it's caused unbelievable pain but had no effect on his game. You can't go further on with this situation and for that he needs a surgery. But the good thing is it's just more a question of days and not weeks, so there is even a chance although he will have the surgery on Monday or Tuesday he could be back for Bournemouth.

He is available for this weekend. He has been struggling since the last international break if I'm if I'm honest and we didn't speak about it because we had so many injured players and my feeling was it wasn't necessary to mention it. He wasn't able to handle the full load during the training week. There were always two or three days when we had to calm down the work and also he had to play with some painkillers. But we have no other centre backs at the moment. And for that he has to go on. Ben is willing to go on for the next three days.

Sam Byram (ankle)

He's been struggling a bit for two weeks to be honest with this and it was also one of the reasons we didn't start him at Crystal Palace. He's a tough lad and wants to get through it but there were two days where it was not wasn't able to train with us this week. He will be with us on Saturday because we need him.

Ralf Fahrmann (groin)

Ralf has no chance. The same for Tim Krul (back) so Michael McGovern will start this game.

The latest injuries are in addition to the longer term absentees, which to recap are..

Timm Klose (knee), Christoph Zimmermann (foot), Tom Trybull (ankle), Onel Hernandez (knee), Alex Tettey (groin) and Mario Vrancic (calf).
