Daniel Farke warns Norwich City must stay humble and remember they remain Premier League novices despite claiming Manchester City’s scalp.

The Canaries' chief knows Saturday's next league trip to Burnley, followed by games against Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Bournemouth, become even tougher after their high profile triumph over the champions.

Farke is keen to quash any shifting of expectations, inside or outside the club, despite the manner of their thrilling 3-2 Carrow Road victory at the expense of Pep Guardiola's world class squad.

"We know where we are coming from, we have our feet firmly on the ground and we are humble," he said. "I don't expect because we beat Manchester City we can win the Premier League title. We are the underdog but we have a chance in every game.

"The lads deserve to savour beating Manchester City but then we have to concentrate on the next task. Each and every game is still difficult for us.

"Take Aston Villa, for example, it is not like you can judge them as a newly promoted side.

"They were able to spend money perhaps like no other club in this country. They can be a giant not just in England but Europe. We can't compare ourselves right now with them or even Burnley, who under Sean Dyche for several years have been on this level."

Farke, however, wants the Canaries to harness the huge shot of confidence from an unexpected league win in front of raucous home support, in a match many rank as one of the best ever at Carrow Road.

"Each and every point in this league counts but of course it is good for the confidence and mood," he said. "You have to learn from every game. We are not naive, but each game from here will be different. It is not just a case of we press a button and play like we did against Manchester City. Different sides and different qualities that we have to plan for.

"We knew we were playing some of the best clubs in the world at the start of the season.

"We will let the table take care of itself. I am just interested in performances. You will not hear me talking about just staying in this league and trying to get the points any way we can, with luck or whatever. We go into the games looking to enjoy them. That is our attitude."
