Daniel Farke admitted the manner of Tammy Abraham’s winner for Chelsea stung after Norwich City had hit back twice against the Blues in a 3-2 Premier League defeat.

Abraham squared up Grant Hanley on a quick break from the visitors before rifling through the defender's legs to beat Tim Krul to settle a see-saw contest at Carrow Road.

Teemu Pukki had tested Kepa Arrizabalaga at the other end seconds before the defining act, in another display that carried plenty of positives for Farke.

"There is always a mistake you can look at when you concede a goal," he said. "My feeling is though the third goal we had invested so much in an attack just before. But we were not open. We could have defended the first touch of Tammy a bit better and then it was about his quality and class. It was quite similar to Teemu's finish the previous week; a strike through the legs is difficult for the keeper.

"We could have defended the first touch better. When you concede, of course you must speak about what you can do better.

"We are disappointed because we are not here for plaudits. We want to win points in this league. For that we were not able to gain any so of course disappointment. Our performance was quite good, our mentality, our attitude. We were quite close to getting something.

"We conceded early but I knew the lads would react to a setback. I can trust my players. For me, a draw at half-time was a fair result. They had spells, we had spells. In the second half for the first 15 minutes they put a lot of pressure on us and were the better side. You have to expect this. Chelsea at this level will be able to dominate for a spell against Norwich City.

"We then came back into the game and started to have some control and create chances. Just before they scored we had this great chance for Teemu. They score out of a counter when we are two against one. That was disappointing. Ben Godfrey then heads against the bar and we had some good crossing situations where we could have covered the first post better."
