Drag us over the line! That is the rallying cry from Stuart Webber and Daniel Farke to Norwich City fans who are being urged to get to Carrow Road in good time for a major announcement ahead of Hull City’s Championship visit.
The club tweeted on Wednesday morning supporters are advised to be in their seats for 7:30pm for an ‘important announcement’ ahead of a crucial league game.
Webber and Farke have plotted a thrilling promotion push and now City’s top brass want supporters to whip up a raucous Carrow Road atmosphere for the Tigers’ test.
The Canaries were knocked off top spot on Tuesday night, after Leeds beat Reading 3-0, while third-placed Sheffield United moved within a point in beating Brentford 2-0 at Bramall Lane.
“We need their help,” said Webber. “We always talk about marginal gains and one of those is the crowd.

“After the (Swansea) game on Friday a lot of the boys were talking about how they need some help. The fans play as big a part in this as anyone. Look at the Ipswich home game, unbelievable. The second half when we needed them against Bristol City they were there.
“When we scored that third goal and all four sides of the ground were singing I had goosebumps. We have five home games left. Let’s be honest if we win all five we have an unbelievable chance of promotion.

“You can help us. You can be the difference.
“These lads need supporting now, not any nerves or anxiety. If we are 1-0 down, get behind us. What has got us here? Hard work and togetherness and that includes the fans. We have no divine right to win a game at this level.
“If we are lucky enough to be in the Premier League next season we won’t turn up against Manchester City and just roll over, we will have a go and let’s have that against Hull. We have to be bang at it.
“Make it loud and be proud of what we are doing as a club. Daniel and this group of players have got enough credit now for us all to get behind them.”
Head coach Farke wants a huge din from the first whistle.
“We need them. Definitely,” he said. “We need this unity more than ever at this crucial period. There will be tricky moments during all the remaining 10 games.
“We have had so many fantastic games this season and we have been so consistent over the past months and scored so many goals, but there will be difficult periods, like we had against Swansea, and in those moments we need them to support us and give us confidence.
“The players need to feel they have that trust.
“Perhaps not the ones who have won many titles, like Alex Tettey or Tim Krul, more like our young players. When they perhaps feel they are in a tough game they need support and a positive atmosphere from the fans.”
