Norwich City have exercised a one-year option on Paul McVeigh's contract which will keep him at the Club until at least June 2007, according to the club's official website.

The City forward has weighed in with seven goals in 34 appearances (14 as substitute) this season and has made a total of 206 appearances (55 as substitute) for the Canaries and scored 39 goals since joining on a free transfer from Spurs in March 2000.

Boss Nigel Worthington told www.canaries.co.uk he was pleased the popular former Northern Ireland international's future was committed to Norwich City for another year.

He commented: "I am delighted that Paul now has a further 12 months to run on his contract. Hopefully he can continue the good form he's already shown this season."
