Daniel Farke aims to use his burning sense of injustice from Norwich City’s defeat at Cardiff to spark a Championship revival.

Farke was seething at what he felt was a catalogue of poor refereeing decisions in a 3-1 loss at the Cardiff City stadium that extended his side’s winless league run to seven games.

Sheffield Wednesday head to Carrow Road on Saturday and Farke admits it will take time to get the Bluebirds’ loss out of his system.

“We need two or three days to calm down and then we will speak about Sheffield,” he said.

“It is so hard right now because we go into it on this run without a win, which has totally changed the direction of the season, and in this last game because of the decisions of the referee.

“If it was a foul for the first penalty it was from (Sean) Morrison against Ivo Pinto. Did I go to speak to the referee? No. What should I ask him? It was so obvious. He will say I think it was a foul, I think it was a penalty because Angus Gunn hits the leg, I think it was not a foul on Mario Vrancic.

“I am pretty sure he wants to do his best. We could speculate why he gave these decisions but I don’t want to give you my thoughts on those topics.

“The winning team can speak about a great reaction in the second half, the togetherness and things turning the right way. We can speak maybe about the mistake of Josh Murphy or not scoring the second goal before half-time.”

“After this game what should I say to my lads, ‘Keep your heads up? We go further on?’ I am not just speaking to them about the self-confidence. We are working on the contents every day,” he said. “You can see how hard we are working.

“The performance was improved but to accept we do not have the winning feeling is hard.

“I am not saying keep your heads up. I am just totally annoyed because after this game you don’t have to speak to the lads.

“Games on this level, when you face an opponent who had not lost at home but all of the decisions are against you in the second half, it is not possible to win points.”
