James Maddison admitted he knew his old club would be a tough nut to crack after battling Norwich City ended Leicester City’s eight-match Premier League winning streak with a spirited 1-1 draw.
Teemu Pukki's ninth goal of the top flight campaign rocked the Foxes in the first half but Tim Krul diverted Jamie Vardy's flick from a Maddison corner over his own line prior to the interval.
Both teams carved out chances to seal the victory in an open second half in the East Midlands, and Maddison expected nothing less from Daniel Farke's troops despite their lowly league status.
"Not just me, the whole team, because we did our preparation all week on Norwich and their strengths," he said.
"They've got good players going forward, wide men who get in the pockets and (it) caused us problems at times but likewise, we caused them problems.
"Listen, they're down there, they're fighting for their lives, fighting for every point and throwing their bodies on the line and sometimes that's difficult to break down, but we'll take the point and move on.
"We piled on the pressure. I think there was one team who was going to go on and win it, because the majority of that second half was in Norwich's half."
Maddison, who was applauded by the huge travelling support at the final whistle, admitted Pukki's prowess in front of goal will always give the Canaries' a chance at this level.
"He's dangerous at the top end of the pitch, so, it was important to not lose the game especially with (us) going behind," the 23-year-old said, speaking to Leicester City TV. "We showed character to come back in the game but like I said, it just wouldn't drop for us.
"We piled a lot of pressure on, had a lot of set-pieces, had a lot of shots and blocked shots.
"It was one of those days, we've been on an unbelievable run and sometimes it does have to come to an end in cases and it has but Norwich is a good side, they created some chances, possession was fairly even and they've got some good players going forward."
