Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 1-0 Premier League defeat against Liverpool.

Here is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's men, who were applauded from the field but remain a long way from safety as Liverpool continued their relentless march to the Premier League title.

- Tim Krul

Wonderful double stop from Mo Salah and Naby Keita. Tipped over an earlier effort from Keita. Good day to impress watching national boss Ronald Koeman. 7

- Max Aarons

A fraction of a second away from halting Sadio Mane with a sliding lunge. Will have learned plenty up against Andy Robertson, who got the upper hand in the closing stages. 7

- Christoph Zimmermann

Made one excellent first half last-ditch clearance to thwart Roberto Firmino. But lost the flight of the ball and the run of Mane. Too easily levered off the ball. Was never going to get a VAR decision. 6

- Grant Hanley (C)

Justified his head coach's warm pre-match words. Always looked in control and when in danger used his experience to buy a decision or two. When Salah did get one shot off through his legs, Tim Krul saved the day. Miscued a header from Ondrej Duda's corner. 7

- Sam Byram

Shift cruelly cut short by what might be a season-ending hamstring injury. 5

- Alex Tettey

Was it a cross or a shot? Who cares. It had Alisson beaten but his low, skimming effort cannoned off the base of a post. 7

- Kenny McLean

Stand out Norwich player in the first half. Energy, running power and a decent range of passing. One blemish in possession led to Krul's double save. 7

- Lukas Rupp

Seemed startled by just Alisson to beat when he tried an unconvincing square pass for Teemu Pukki. VAR may have intervened anyway as his initial run looked on the verge of being adjudged offside. 6

- Ondrej Duda

Couple of decent corners. But difficult game in the context of a rearguard action. Had to chase plenty of hopeful, long clearances. 6

- Todd Cantwell

Caught the wrong side with Virgil Van Dijk pinging balls out to Salah. But got better defensively as the game wore on. Plus some lovely darts in congested spaces underlined his growing confidence at the highest level. 7

- Teemu Pukki

Smacked his only real chance straight at Alisson. Prodigious amount of running and closing down. Like Ondrej Duda, had to forage on scraps. 7

City substitutes

- Jamal Lewis 7

Pitched in at the deep end with Sam Byram's sudden injury exit. Had only just started his warm up. But adapted well. Trent Alexander-Arnold got in towards the end with Liverpool pushing to seal the win. Now set for an extended run in the side.
