Man of the match Dion Dublin said the Canaries needed to “learn how to win games” after they were stung by a stoppage-time goal for the fourth time this season.

Seven points have now been lost through goals conceded after the 90-minute mark, with Michael Turner's equaliser for Hull denying City their fifth 1-0 win under Peter Grant after Robert Earnshaw had given them the lead.

Dublin said they needed to improve their decision-making at vital moments to win more matches.

The 37-year-old said: “I thought we had done enough to hang on. We didn't play particularly well again, but had a little bit of resilience and heart.

“Earnie again bailed us out of trouble and we need to learn how to win games. We made the wrong decisions. It's frustrating, really.”

Dublin was referring to one pass played out of defence late in the game by City midfielder Carl Robinson, who looked to find a team-mate, rather than hitting a long pass forward to relieve the pressure. Hull regained possession, and moments later they were level.

“When you are an outfield player it's hard to switch off and play a ball you wouldn't play naturally,” he told the club's official website. “Robbo is a natural player and tried to play it to feet. It happened today but it was the wrong time to play it. But maybe we could have defended it better.”

Dublin, outstanding in defence, said he was happy to fill in at the back, where he replaced the injured Gary Doherty.

“Doc has got injured so he's given me the nod at centre-half and I did what I needed to do.”
