Norwich City have rewarded two more of their brightest prospects with first professional contracts for teenage duo Tom Dickson-Peters and Tyrese Omotoye.

The attacking duo are regulars for Paul Williams Under-18s, with Scottish youth international Dickson-Peters also featuring earlier this campaign in the EFL Trophy.

Omotoye is seeking inspiration from the likes of Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis, Max Aarons and Todd Cantwell who have all made the leap from the academy to the Premier League.

"You look at the first team pitch when training, seeing players like Todd, Max and Ben, it really gives you hope and lets you know you might end up playing there," he said, speaking to the club's official site.

"Everyday you've got to work hard for your place in the squad, so I'm very happy knowing that my hard work has paid off and is being shown.

"It's an amazing feeling to get to play more football, it's a great sign that my hard work pays off and there's more to come in my career starting with this. I think I've worked really hard to be where I am, and I know I'm on the right path to be where I want to be in my career."

Dickson-Peters is enjoying life for club and country this season. The teenager was a late substitute in the opening EFL Trophy 2-1 defeat to Oxford United after being drafted into David Wright's plans due to injuries and international call ups. The Berkshire-bred prospect has been part of the Scottish set-up since a first call up at under-17 level.

"It's a really great feeling, I'm honoured to be given the chance to sign the contract up. I'm very happy being given the opportunity at the club," said the 17-year-old. "It's great to see all the players in the first team coming in from the academy, as a young player it's inspiring and great to see where you could end up, and hopefully where I end up.

"Every day playing football, it's such a great opportunity that you can't take for granted.

"It's honouring, putting on the shirt for your country. I don't take it for granted because not many people get to do that, it's really good on-field experience too, getting to play extra games."
