Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 0-0 Premier League draw against Newcastle United.

Here is Paddy's verdict on Daniel Farke's men, who failed to score in an eighth Premier League away game this season despite creating a stack of chances at St James' Park.

- Tim Krul

Big day for the former Magpie. Reaction stop to keep out a Joelinton header. Earned his luck with Miguel Almiron's off-target follow up. Had to spring to his right to claw out Grant Hanley's sliced clearance and later tip over Federico Fernandez's looping header and parry Allan Saint-Maximin's curler. 7

- Max Aarons

Had it all on trying to subdue Saint-Maximin. Was in the wars. Appeared to take a heavy bang swivelling out of a challenge with Danny Rose. One defensive lapse allowed Joelinton a free header in the first half when he was caught by the hosts' penalty box movement. 6

- Christoph Zimmermann

Had the licence to step into midfield with the hosts retreating to the edge of their own box. Did not always make the most of it. 6

- Grant Hanley (C)

Relished the physical tussle with Joelinton, and only one winner in that contest. Another solid return for a former Newcastle player; bar one cheap free kick for a foul on Almiron that went unpunished. 7

- Sam Byram

Dangerous from attacking set pieces. Martin Dubravka pulled off a stunning first half stop. A second half header down into the ground reared up and struck the top of the bar. 7

- Alex Tettey

One shot deflected behind and judging by the midfielder's reaction he thought that was testing the Newcastle keeper. Worked well again with Kenny McLean for the most part, aside from when he inadvertently intercepted the Scot's first half pass. 7

- Kenny McLean

Glancing near post header skimmed wide. Also defended his own near post well. Tried to be progressive in his passing. 7

- Lukas Rupp

Grew in influence when Norwich pushed Newcastle back in the second period. Key role in a chance for Teemu Pukki. 6

- Ondrej Duda

Brushed the top of the Newcastle net in the first half and the side netting in the second. In between, cushioned a pass into Pukki who was thwarted by Dubravka. Very decent set piece delivery. 7

- Todd Cantwell

Got the nod in place of Emi Buendia after looking sharp in training, according to Farke. Couple of nice central darts taking the ball on the half turn although not quite able to get in the positions that have brought him goals. Felt he had a fair shout for a penalty, but got short shrift from Martin Atkinson. 6

- Teemu Pukki

Well below his best. Far too hesitant in the shooting positions where he has looked so assured for the most part of his Carrow Road career. Although the Dubravaka first half tip over was top drawer. 7

City substitutes

- Emi Buendia 5

One raking pass teed up Onel Hernandez but cut a frustrated figure and one turnover required a smart stop from Tim Krul.
