Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ 1-0 Premier League home defeat against Everton
Here is Paddy’s verdict on Daniel Farke’s men, who were toothless up front and switched off for one defining moment at the back.
• Tim Krul
Assured tip over from fearsome Dominic Calvert-Lewin strike in the second half. No chance with the winner. 6
• Max Aarons
Noticeable how the raiding full back has been kept in check in the first two games back as an attacking option. Are opponents now wise to the threat? 6
• Ben Godfrey
Much more assured than a rocky return against Southampton. Brave headed clearance deep inside his own box. Aggressive in the personal duels. 6
• Timm Klose
Michael Keane got the jump on him to power Everton to three points. Brought composure in open play. 6
• Jamal Lewis
Not able to get out quick enough to prevent Alex Iwobi producing a steady stream of crosses. 5
• Alex Tettey (C)
Reads the game so well defending his own box. In contrast to others tried in that role this season. Good positioning on more than one occasion and had a goalbound shot deflected behind by Gylfi Sigurdsson. 6
• Kenny McLean
Sloppy too often with his passing both long and short. We’ve seen that lack of screening on defensive corners at the near post previously this season. Think Burnley and Southampton. 5
• Lukas Rupp
Brought the best save from Jordan Pickford with a dipping long range effort after collecting Ondrej Duda’s pass. 6
• Ondrej Duda
So poor on set pieces. Free kick slammed the wall and failed to clear the front man on numerous corners. 5
• Onel Hernandez
Bright and purposeful in the first half before fading on his first league start since December. Pickford shovelled his deflected low shot against the outside of a post. 6
• Josip Drmic
Limited chance to impress after getting the nod over Teemu Pukki. Michael Keane had the upper hand decisively in the air. 5
City substitutes
• Emi Buendia 6
Might have been in if Teemu Pukki’s heavy touch had not forced him wide. Whipped in a dangerous near post free kick that was narrowly sliced behind by an Everton defender.
(for Lukas Rupp, 71)
• Teemu Pukki 5
Benched before late cameo but the wait for a goal in open play goes on.
(for Ondrej Duda, 71)
• Others n/a
