Chris Wilder is urging Daniel Farke and Norwich City not to give up on their Premier League relegation mission.
The Blades' boss inflicted a 1-0 defeat at Bramall Lane but has huge respect for Farke despite some spicy clashes since the German's time in England.
Norwich remain bottom and six points from safety, although that gap could be seven points if Aston Villa win at Leicester City on Monday night.
"They are game, they are honest and I have a lot of respect for Dan," said Wilder, who has guided the Blades into a remarkable tilt at Europe. "They are a brave side. We know a lot about them from the Championship last season, how open they are, how much they go for it. It is difficult. Full credit to them.
"Norwich had a brilliant result at Tottenham. I said that to Dan. They also had a great result against Leicester and this was a dangerous, difficult game against a team that has been written off by a lot of people.
"Pretty much the same as us at the start of the season. They still have something to fight for.
"A dangerous game but we keep rolling forward. They changed shape at half-time and had nothing to lose. Rightly so. When questions were asked of us in our box we answered them and the one great bit of quality has decided the game."
Billy Sharp settled the match with a thumping close range header, and then England hopeful Dean Henderson repelled the Canaries in a late salvo.
"He made a couple of saves. He didn't have a great deal to do first half, he made a couple of important ones second half," said Wilder. "I look at the Norwich keeper.
"He makes saves week in, week out, and some important ones, and the best ones do. Dean in my opinion is one of the best.
"In the first five or 10 minutes, they had a chance with (Teemu) Pukki which grazed the outside of the post.
"Then I thought we started to take control and I was a bit disappointed we didn't increase our lead.
"Great ball from John (Lundstram) and a fantastic finish from Billy. He really enjoyed that.
"We have played a diamond before and it is very much risk and reward. We were disappointed we took a step backwards but when we turned the ball over we knew we had to get it out of the middle of the park because of the amount of numbers in there."
