Group Football Editor Paddy Davitt has posted his marks following the Canaries’ sorry 3-0 Premier League home defeat against Southampton

Here is Paddy’s verdict on Daniel Farke’s men, who offered very little to suggest they can prolong a Premier League relegation fight.

• Tim Krul

Beaten by three quality finishes. Thwarted both Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong early on. 6

• Max Aarons

Sign of how this game panned out his trademark attacking bursts were serverely rationed. Second best in Nathan Redmond duel. 5

• Ben Godfrey

Poor return. Weak clearing header sparked first goal. Squared up horribly by Redmond for the third. 5

• Timm Klose (C)

Some slack required given it was his first league start since January 2019. Ings’ movement too sharp for the opener. Failed to close down Armstrong quickly enough when he eventually opted to shoot. 6

• Jamal Lewis

Plenty of appetite shown to hare back for Armstrong’s counter but half-hearted attempt at a tackle. 5

• Emi Buendia

Lacking in any thrust or invention. Lethargic, like this Norwich performance. 5

• Kenny McLean

Smacked a first half effort from the edge of the box into the side netting. Did not really work as a pair with Tom Trybull. Left City’s backline far too exposed. 5

• Tom Trybull

In this side to presumably get on the ball and get City playing. Saints were wise to his trigger move in dropping deep. Risky strategy. Offers little in the way of defensive protection. Witness the opening goal. 5

• Todd Cantwell

Threaded one pass for Teemu Pukki in the second half. But another creative type on the periphery of the real action. 5

• Josip Drmic

Plenty of effort. Dallied for his clear sight of goal early on. Cushioned first time pass set up big chance for Pukki. 5

• Teemu Pukki

Still a shadow of his former self when the shooting opportunity presents itself. A worry, 5

City substitutes

• Mario Vrancic 5

Game was up by the time he arrived but did bundle one into the net only for the assistant to flag him offside.

(for Tom Trybull, 62)

• Onel Hernandez 5

Long-awaited return after a season blighted by injury.

(for Todd Cantwell, 62)
