He’s making waves in the Premier League for Norwich City and now Todd Cantwell is rubbing shoulders with sporting royalty, thanks to his sponsorship from a sportswear giant.

The 'Dereham Deco' was in London on Monday for filming with Puma, with the headline attraction among a host of sports stars being reigning Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.

The British driver won his sixth world crown in 2019, with the Mercedes superstar champion for a third season in succession, to set up an attempt to equal Michael Schumacher's record haul of seven titles in 2020.

The 21-year-old has been catching the eye during this campaign, leading to a call for him to be nominated for the Young Player of the Year award following City's narrow 1-0 loss to champions-elect Liverpool on Saturday.

Cantwell has also been linked with interest from several Premier League giants recently, with Norwich scrapping to stay in the top flight, sitting seven points from safety with 12 games remaining.

It hasn't always been plain sailing for the Norfolk-born talent though, speaking last week about some of the criticism he received for his performances last season, which he saw as unfair.

Cantwell also recently praised the decision of his parents to initially prevent him from moving into academy football, before joining the Canaries at under-11 level.
