Norwich City’s sharpshooter Teemu Pukki is convinced the Canaries can surprise plenty on their return to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke's squad is predictably being touted for a swift return to the Football League outside Norfolk, but the man who fired them to the big time is backing the rump of last season's title-winning crew to buck the trend.

"We know what got us up into the Premier League. I think we will keep doing the same things," he said, speaking to Skysports at Colney on Thursday. "The young guys are getting better all the time.

"There will be some exciting games if you watch our games. I believe we can surprise a few people. Not many people probably believe in us at the moment but we are ready to show them we are prepared for the Premier League."

Pukki sat out the midweek friendly defeat to Brentford with what Farke labelled a 'minor toe problem' but the Finnish international has already notched two goals in pre-season, including the opener last Friday against his old club Schalke 04 in a 2-1 win on their German tour.
