Former Norwich City trainee Craig Bellamy is joining Vincent Kompany’s new coaching set-up at Belgian giants Anderlecht.

The 39-year-old has signed a three year deal to take charge of the Under-21s, after leaving his role as a Cardiff City youth coach earlier this year following accusations of bullying.

"We are very happy with Craig's arrival at RSC Anderlecht," said the Belgian club's youth director Jean Kindermans.

"He has a lot of experience and will be a great mentor for our youth players mentally speaking, but also in terms of football skills."

Manchester City's former head of academy coaching, Simon Davies, has also made the switch to Belgium to link up with Kompany, who announced his surprise move earlier this summer after leading the Sky Blues to another Premier League crown.
