From hammerings to brandishing one City supporter as an Uncle Albert lookalike, there is little wonder as to why Ian Holloway has described Carrow Road as his least favourite ground to visit as an away manager.
The ex-QPR and Blackpool boss was asked during a question and answer session on his Twitter page which was his least favourite away ground to visit, replying 'Norwich.'
Holloway then indicated his reasoning was due to getting "hammered every time I've been there" as well as Norwich's geographical surroundings. "It's miles away from anywhere!" Holloway told his 23.1k followers on the social media platform.
His last visit to Carrow Road was as QPR manager, where he was on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat after goals from Nelson Oliveira and Harrison Reed.
That game served as head coach Daniel Farke's first win as City boss in August 2017.
During that game, Holloway took exception to the comments of one City supporter sat behind his dugout, comparing him to 'Only Fools and Horses' character Uncle Albert after the fan accused one of his players of play-acting.
Holloway's record at Carrow Road includes a heavy 6-1 defeat to the Canaries in Neil Adams' last home game in charge of Norwich City on Boxing Day in 2014, with memories of City becoming less positive when you consider a 4-1 defeat to Norwich at the Den led to his dismissal in charge of the Lions.
The last two games at NR1 have also been unhappy trips for him, with that aforementioned 2-0 defeat in Farke's first win being preceded by a 4-0 victory on the closing day of the 2017-18 season.
Despite recent visits being unpleasant, Holloway's debut at Carrow Road saw his Plymouth side comfortably overcome Peter Grant's Canaries 3-1 in 2007.
Holloway is currently out of work after a second spell at QPR was terminated as the London side appointed ex-England boss Steve McClaren in the summer of 2018.
