City winger Luke Chadwick is making progress two weeks after suffering a gashed knee in the East Anglian derby at Ipswich.
Chadwick, on loan from Stoke with a view to a permanent move in January, has reported to Colney every other day for treatment and exercise.
Said manager Peter Grant: “He's four weeks away still, but he's been in getting treatment and doing some gym work.
“We had him in Monday, Wednesday and Friday so he doesn't have to travel every day because he's driving in from Cambridge.
“He's coming on well and that will be very important for us.”
Chadwick, 26, scored on his City debut at Portman Road but was later stretchered off after careering into an advertising hoarding and spent two nights in hospital after a clean-up operation on his knee.
