Norwich City’s Emi Buendia has been named the PFA Championship Player of the Month for March.
The Argentine – about to begin a three-match suspension – becomes the third City player in as many months to win the award, following Mario Vrancic in January) and Teemu Pukki in February.
Buendia was nominated along with Rotherham’s Semi Ajayi, John McGinn of Aston Villa, Sheffield United’s Jack O’Connell and leeds pair Pablo Hernandez and Luke Ayling.
Buendia received 24pc of the public vote having scored three goals plus providing two assists as City won five games out of five in March.
The 22-year-old was sent off against QPR at the weekend and misses three games, beginning with Wednesday night’s home clash against Reading.
