FA CUP FIRST QUALIFYING ROUND: Lowestoft joint manager Micky Chapman insists his men have nothing to fear in today's FA Cup first round qualifying tie at mid-table Southern Premier Cambridge City (3pm).

Lowestoft joint manager Micky Chapman insists his men have nothing to fear in today's FA Cup first round qualifying tie at mid-table Southern Premier Cambridge City (3pm).

The unbeaten Trawler Boys travel to Milton Road in buoyant mood to face the former Conference-level club who were demoted during the summer after failing a ground grading.

"It's important to go into any FA Cup game in a confident manner, and that's what we'll be doing as we want to continue that unbeaten run against a side that plays two leagues above us," said Chapman. "We're doing well at the moment, but we won't be getting carried away as we know we are going to Cambridge to play against a side that are a quality outfit.

"We are the underdogs, they are the favourites and at home - where they're expected to beat us.

"But we'll be concentrating on ourselves and we'll be doing our best to keep the FA Cup run going."

Craig Lewis returns to the squad but Matty Potter is still unavailable. The Blues stayed tucked in behind surprise early Ridgeons Premier pacesetters Wivenhoe after an impressive midweek win at champions Wroxham.

"We're over the moon with the boys," said Chapman. "We're very pleased for the lads with their attitude, commitment and work rate. There was a lack of quality on the night from both sides, and we did not play that well. But what we did do was stick together, work hard and continue to press them as we kept going right until the final whistle.

"We showed a lot of belief in our own ability and to score two goals in the last five minutes was important as it showed we never ever gave up. That was vital to grind out a result against one of the top sides in the league on their own patch."

Wroxham player boss Damian Hilton and midfielder Andy Key are both suspended for the FA Cup tie at Northern Premier outfit Grantham. Paul Cook (dead leg) is a doubt. Keeper Duncan McAnally is still sidelined with a fractured eye socket.

Wisbech boss Steve Taylor targets a quickfire Ridgeons Premier double over Dereham to sign off at Fenland Park in the last official match before a temporary ground move to Outwell. Town hammered the Magpies 4-1 in the second match of the new league campaign.

"They have picked up in their performances since that defeat," he said. "But we at last gave the home fans something to cheer about with the win against Swaffham. Hopefully the goals we scored can give us the confidence to bow out in style at Fenland Park."

Midfielder Nick Reeson re-joined the Fenmen on the eve of the club's farewell appearance after spells at Boston Town, Holbeach and Soham.
