Along with Michael Spillane, striker Chris Martin spent 2008-09 on a season-long loan at Luton Town. The Beccles-born striker was on target at Wembley as the Bedfordshire club won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy after defeating Scunthorpe United 3-2 in a pulsating final.
Having been a regular goalscorer at youth and reserve team level, Chris made an instant impact on the Norwich first team after being handed his Canary debut by Peter Grant in January 2007. He proceeded to score in four consecutive Championship matches in late February and early March as City climbed away from the relegation zone. After enjoying such a productive season at Luton will be looking to make up for lost time.
