Lambert was sent to the stands while he was boss of Colchester during a game against Yeovil Town last month.

A statement issued by the FA read: “A Regulatory Commission hearing today heard the improper conduct charge issued against Norwich City Manager Paul Lambert.

“Lambert admitted improper conduct. The charge followed his dismissal from the dugout when manager of Colchester United in their match against Yeovil Town on 16 August. Lambert was fined �750 and warned as to his future conduct.

“The Commission considered his admission of the charge and previous good disciplinary record.”
