So where does a girl who is obsessed with all things NCFC go to celebrate her last night of freedom before marriage? Well Norwich vs Hull, obviously! Not an immediate choice for a hen night for some of her non-football focused friends, some of whom attended their first ever game but it just had to be done.

So where does a girl who is obsessed with all things NCFC go to celebrate her last night of freedom before marriage? Well Norwich vs Hull, obviously!

Not an immediate choice for a hen night for some of her non-football focused friends, some of whom attended their first ever game but it just had to be done. I was hoping this occasion would convert them to a love of 'soccer' (as one Australian friend put it) and I was also hoping for a 5-0 victory as we saw previously in the season. But alas it was not to be - in fact I fear this game has put them off football for life and has confirmed in their minds that I am truly, truly mad supporting and watching Norwich on a regular basis.

The game itself was an unsurprising repeat of many games this season, and the manager himself is starting to sound a bit like another manager we had recently - so much so I am beginning to wonder if Nigel left behind some sort of drug which ensures all NCFC managers believe the team are committed and passionate regardless of what happens on the pitch. I for one was pretty surprised Peter said what we did about the fans - considering what they were watching I felt the crowd was actually quite noisy and pretty supportive. I was even more surprised considering we met him earlier in the day and he seemed to be quite happy with all things Canary.

Although the players didn't seem to feel three points were needed for my hen do, the club were truly wonderful. From arranging a ground tour with Phil Lythgoe (the lovely Phil as I recollect calling him after a few drinks), to corporate hospitality in the Gunn Club and then a picture with Dion Dublin (I won't mention what I described him as after a few drinks in case the wedding is off!) it was a truly memorable day with my friends really impressed with NCFC and how they looked after us. Even the Hull players got into the swing of things and allowed us into the changing room as they were starting to get ready - I think that confused my friends too far as it meant they wished Hull 'Good Luck' but redeemed themselves by trying to bribe the referee. Perhaps that just meant the two balanced each other out? Even our spread betting with Ladbrokes didn't generate any luck although Lara was nearly buying all the drinks after putting money on 1-0 and Claire was only 30 seconds out on the golden goal £500 which would've come in very handy for the evening. All in all a great day, except the game itself of course, and I for one can't wait for January - not only do I get married, but the transfer window will be open.
