EAST COAST WARRIORS U9 travelled to Holt for their second meeting of the season and continued their winning streak with a comfortable 15-0 win.

The early goal gave them the confidence to continue to dominate and with another match full of skilful and well-timed passing, EC hammered the Holt defence and keeper with their persistent attacks. All EC players took up the challenge to fire in the shots and there was little Holt’s keeper could do. Scorers: Smith (3), Lambert (2), Perry (2), Hammond (2), Lawes (2), Armstrong (1), Lees (1), Wells (1), Scales (1).

EAST COAST WARRIORS U12 fresh from mauling Cromer Youth in the cup, travelled to neighbours Holt for a league derby tussle which opened with a spell of excellent pressure, taking the game to the home side. Shots from Brown and Lozeau went close, but lacked real power. Coast were caught on the break as Holt sped down their right-hand channel, finishing with a fine cross that allowed an unmarked Jack Duncan to slot home against the run of play.

Coast were undeterred, and kept pressing the home side, and shots from Lubbock, Lozeau, Sadler and Brown all came close. Everything changed when a superb delivery from Sadler fell to Brown to rifle home. The next goal came as Askew battled with three Holt backs to win a corner, which was curled in by Brown. Holt cleared off the line, only to have the audacious Smith snatch the ball out of the air with a thunderous volley. Holt fought back with a rocket shot but Baker made an important save. Coast turned the tide with some neat work in midfield from Askew, Lubbock and Sadler, who made it three. Lozeau took the chance of a pin-point delivery from Brown to lift the ball high over the keeper and defence. Brown closed the scoring with yet another terrific power-volley to leave the result 5-1 to Coast. Holt were worthy and sportsman-like opponents.
