Fresh from Norwich City’s pre-match press conference ahead of their FA Cup third round tie with Premier League Southampton at Carrow Road on Saturday, Mustard sports editor Michael Bailey and Eastern Daily Press chief writer Paddy Davitt give their views from Colney.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil was before our reporters and the rest of the gathered media, at the Canaries’ Colney Training Centre.

They chatted through City’s improved league form, the January transfer window and speculation including Sergi Canos and Robbie Brady, plus all the key selection issues ahead of Saturday’s game.

Norwich host the stuttering Saints at Carrow Road for a 3pm kick-off, with the likes of Nathan Redmond, Fraser Forster and Ryan Bertrand all in line for possible returns to their old stomping ground.

City beat in-form Derby 3-0 at Carrow Road on Bank Holiday Monday to kick off the new year in style. They return to league action next weekend, with a Saturday trip to the EFL Championship’s bottom club Rotherham United (3pm).
