Fresh from Norwich City’s pre-match press conference ahead of their EFL Championship clash with Newcastle United at Carrow Road on Tuesday, Mustard sports editor Michael Bailey and Eastern Daily Press chief writer Paddy Davitt give their views from Colney.
Norwich City manager Alex Neil and midfielder Jonny Howson were quizzed by our reporters and the rest of the gathered media, at the Canaries’ Colney Training Centre.
They chatted through City’s improved form, the prospect of taking on the EFL Championship leaders and of course, those stunning goals in the win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Alex Pritchard’s two goals were good, Wes Hoolahan’s was superb, but Howson’s strike was on a different level – and Howson got the chance to speak about his wonder goal for the first time on Monday lunchtime. Norwich welcome the Magpies to Carrow Road for a 7.45pm kick-off, Rafa Benitez’s side clear at the top of the second tier followin a 1-0 weekend win at Wolves.
