Lee Croft's second goal in three home games crowned a special night at Carrow Road - but he is well aware City's five-star showing against Wolves must not be a one-off.

Croft marked his 100th appearance for the Canaries with the final goal in Tuesday's 5-2 victory when he drilled home the rebound after hat-trick hero Leroy Lita's shot rebounded off the post.

“I was thinking Leroy was odds on to score but when it came back off the post it was just up to me to tuck it away,” he said. “Leroy was fantastic. He says he meant to set it up, he just played it off the post, so that was kind of him!”

But the 23-year-old winger knows City cannot afford an anti-climax in the home game against Doncaster on Saturday.

He said: “It was brilliant result - just what we needed. I said on Saturday we needed a few goals and if you had said we'd put five past Wolves, you might have pinched yourself.

“But we know we're capable of it. We've done it now and I hope that will be the shape of things to come.

“It's difficult to explain because we have been playing well at times but we just haven't been scoring, so for it to come all of a sudden and get five against a top team like Wolves is fantastic. I hope that can instil some confidence into us now. We can go into the Doncaster game full of confidence and full of belief that we can score goals and win games.”
