They are now just two points behind but with two games in hand with a nail-biting end to the season in prospect with several teams still in contention.

Beccles Town are a further two points behind the Crabs after a 3-2 win over visitors Watton. They too have two games in hand over the table-topping Angels, who didn't have a league game on Saturday.

Ricci Wilson, Jason Clarke and Paul Heaney were the Wherrymen scorers, with United's two coming from Mark Allibone and Andrew Morris.

Blofield United were 3-1 winners over visiting Brandon with Sean Brown netting a brace and Danny McKail providing the other. Brandon's goal was from Wayne Proctor.

Acle United travelled to Dersingham Rovers and returned home 4-1 winners with James Foreman hitting two, Nathan Thompson and Daniel Foreman also netting. In reply, Nelson Modeira was on the scoresheet.

Hempnall, who have been coming up on the rails, drew 2-2 with mid-table visitors Loddon. Tom Halliwell and Iain Mills were on target for the hosts while James Majoribanks and Alex Brown complete the scoresheet.

At Spixworth United Ramsey Gashut, Damian Didwell, Andrew Hayton and Duncan Whitlam netted in a 4-0 win over visiting Sheringham.

A single goal by Ben Welham was enough for St Andrews to come away from Sprowston Athletic with all three points.

Meanwhile, in Division One new leaders are Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves who won to leapfrog Norwich St Johns, who lost.

The Suffolk side beat visitors Poringland Wanderers 3-0 thanks to goals by Paul Highfield, Wayne Twomlow and Rory French.

But St Johns lost to mid-table Reepham 3-0 with a Kevin Winkworth brace and a goal by James Page accounting for the scoreline.

Caister won 4-2 when Hindringham paid a visit with Nicky Crawley scoring twice, Adam Houghton and James Corke, while Karl Pask netted twice

in reply.
