It was League Cup day in the NPSS NEN League, with the Smallburgh Crown Division One League Cup holders, East Ruston, travelling to Horning and thanks to goals in each half from Lee Woodhouse and Mark Burton seeing them through to a semi-final tie against Runton, who saw off visitors North Walsham ‘A’.

Ludham were cruising to a semi-final place at Worstead before Dale Scarff scored to take the game into extra-time. No further goals came in that period and it was the home side who advanced 5-4 on penalties and they will now meet Mundesley, who took on Haisboro Athletic at home, taking a 3-1 lead only for Haisboro to level in normal time with Mundesley netting the winner deep into extra time. On target for Mundesley were Alex Fitzgerald (2), Michael Harvey and Aaron Hyland with Alan Maxwell (2) and Simon Hawkins replying for the visitors.

Goals from Lee and Daryl Harrod saw Cromer Youth Old Boys progress into the semi-finals of the Rivett Motors Division Two League Cup when visiting Erpingham for whom Andy Adams replied, they will now meet Aldborough who were 1-0 winners over Holt ‘A’. Cawston, at home to Corpusty Reserves, advanced into the semis following an odd goal of five win and will now face Plumstead Reserves who were comfortable 4-0 winners over Hickling.

In the Slater & Frith Division One spoils were shared at Corpusty when Aylsham ‘A’ visited for a 1-1 draw.

In the Walcott Lighthouse Inns Division Three League Cup competition there was a win for Aldborough Reserves 6-2 at home to Holt Colts. East Ruston Reserves with goals from Jonny Stone and Paul Wade were 2-1 winners over Southrepps whose goal came from Rob Highe whilst Trunch and Felmingham played out a goalless draw.
