Incident and accident all played their part in a fixture which included replacement of an assistant referee through injury, a penalty save by Swaffham keeper Lee Brooks and questionable sending-off after two yellow cards for Simon Jones.

Thetford were fortunate to have the home advantage, Swaffham defending admirably to come away from this local derby with a well-deserved point.
Swaffham have a mid-week friendly arranged for Wednesday evening (November 18, 7.45 kick off) at Shoemakers Lane against Wells Town before another local derby this weekend, when they host Downham Town in the Ridgeons League (3pm kick-off).

Swaffham Town Reserves had their winning run brought to stop on Saturday, being beaten by league leaders Blofield United Reserves 3-1.
Their fine recent form has, however, been recognised and the Anglian Combination Football League has named them as 'Team of the Month' for October. They travel to Matishall Reserves next Saturday (2pm ko).
The A team notched up a deserved three points in another local derby, beating Dereham Town A 4-1 at Shoemakers Lane, they travel to Shropham United next Saturday in the 3rd round of the Ben Smith Memorial Cup (2pm ko).
