Fakenham controlled the first half, threatening to add to the scoreline on two or three occasions. Fakenham struggled to find any fluency with their game second half. Bird and Harris were having decent games in midfield with the latter warming the keeper's hands with two rasping shots. Elliot produced a great reflex save but with five minutes remaining Ely equalised. A minute later a cross from Skinner was fired home by Berry from 12 yards. Not a great performance, but a fine result. Fakenham: Elliot, Alamanos, Vertigan, Felton, Savory, Berry, Bird, Harris, Betts (Barnard), Drewery (Skinner), Mcilveen (Schoemacher).

Callum, who had been pulling the strings in midfield, needed treatment for cramp and Tricky the centre back injured his knee and missed the rest of the game. Catton pounced to score two quick goals. On the stroke of half-time Andel scored Dereham's equalizer after chasing his own flick-on to smash the ball home hard and low. The second half started with Dereham on top with Reece and Andel having chances but good last-ditch defending keeping the scores level. FAKENHAM U13 lost 7-0 to Sprowston, the defending league champions at Trap Lane. This strong, skilful team took the game by the scruff of the neck from the off. Fakenham battled to deal with their pace and conceded two quick goals as Sprowston pinned them in their own half. As half-time came Fakenham pushed hard but with little reward. Sprowston dominated the second half with Fakenham too often second to the ball. There were signs of Fakenham's battling spirit but Sprowston proved too strong. Fakenham won some corners towards the end but Sprowston countered quickly to add to their goal tally. This was a rare occasion when the young Ghosts were outplayed, outfought and out-thought, by a team playing at their best. Team: Sam, George, Dion, Harrison, Jack L, Hilly ,Christian, Dan, Olly, Tom, Martin, Brady, Jack G and Liam.

FAKENHAM AMBERS U10 travelled to league leaders Dersingham looking for their first away win of the season. In an evenly-fought first half Dersingham created several chances thanks to a ferocious following wind. The Fakenham defence was marshalled well by Rahul and Josh and firm and important tackles were made by Ben in particular. Aaron and Reece linked up well on the left. The wind did not assist Fakenham as they might have expected. Dersingham enjoyed good possession and Callum made several important saves. It was no surprise when Dersingham scored the decisive goal with 10 minutes remaining. Despite late probing attacks by Ben and Aaron, Fakenham were unable to claim an equaliser. However, the Fakenham team have made significant improvement having lost 5-1 to Dersingham only one year ago. Man-of-the-match: Ben. Team: Callum, Rahul, Josh, Reece, Aaron, Ben, Charlie and Tom.

FAKENHAM GHOSTS U10 entertained Clenchwarton U10 in difficult windy conditions and for long periods of the first half the Ghosts were pinned in their own half as Clenchwarton made full use of the tail wind. Dan and Travis played well in defence to keep the scores level and the midfield trio of Jack, Ben and Chant worked hard to try and win the ball so the Ghosts could mount an attack. Just before half-time the hard work paid off and Jack set up a goal for Ben. The second half saw the Ghosts defend well to maintain their lead. then they started to push forward with Matty working hard along with Kai, Ben and Jack, but they could not add to the scoreline. Dan and Travis had to keep alert to the constant threat on the Ghosts' goal and Jamie made some really good saves to prevent Clenchwarton from getting what would have been a deserved equaliser. Final score: 1-0. Man-of-the-match: Ben. Team: Jamie, Dan, Travis, Jack, Ben, Chant, Matty and Kai. Next, Reffley away in the League KO Cup.

DEREHAM TOWN U15 visited Sprowston with a side devastated by injuries and illness. Robbie Clarke had flu and was replaced by Jack Howard, who was suffering with a thigh strain. Lloyd Stubbs, Nick Hook and Hayden Rutherford were all still recovering from swine flu and Shaun Gerrard was ill on the day. Dereham were put under pressure from the kick-off and the home side had several chances to take the lead but could not hit the target. Dereham kept going though and a slick move down the left found Matty Doyle and his shot was saved, the rebound found Shaun Gerrard but the Sprowston keeper made a fantastic double save. After the restart Dereham surprised the home side by taking an early lead when Matty Doyle slid the ball past the on-rushing keeper. Sprowston stepped up a gear and within 15 minutes they were 3-1 up. Further injuries to Ryan Hawkins, Nathan Pearson and Ross Bailey meant Dereham were down to six fit players. Matty Doyle, Josh Cullington, Jim Walters, Connor Ashford, Alex Kennedy and Stewart McErleane all battled on bravely but were never a match for a strong Sprowston team who were worthy winners 5-1.

DEREHAM WANDERERS STRIPES were lucky to escape with a draw after a disjointed performance punctuated by scrappy passing and poor defending against a mediocre Rocklands. Thomas Semmons converted an early penalty to give Stripes the lead which Joe Whitehead extended a few minutes later, which should have been the signal for Stripes to take control. Instead they drifted away allowing Rocklands to grab one back which saw the game swing back in their favour. Second half Stripes continued in the same vein yet Ashley Bell gave Stripes a 3-1 lead. Rocklands heads went down for a while which saw George Broster score. In the final minutes Stripes took their eye off the ball which gave Rockland an opportunity to score two quick goals. Stripes need to work hard to return to the style of play of which they are well capable. Team: Myles Wheeler, Billy Newson, Matthew Palmer, Miguel Ferreira, Keenan Stokes, Benjy Sutton, George Broster, Louie Seaton, Joe Whitehead, Thomas Semmons (capt), Ashley Bell. Man-of-the-match: Miles Wheeler. Manager's man-of-the-match: Joe Whitehead.

DEREHAM WANDERERS U13 travelled to Mulbarton Bellesand played into the wind in the first half. Dereham struggled to come to terms with it as many passes were over-hit. They had the better chances but some poor finishing kept the score level until just before the break. Lanti picked up the ball, dribbled past two Mulbarton defenders and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper. Mulbarton were thwarted by some very good defending by Becka and Ellen. Most of the second half was played in the Mulbarton half. Chelsea was bought onto add some pace and width to the team and Sarah came on for Becka. It was one-way traffic as Lanti, Joy and Merrick controlled midfield and Chelsea's pace was always a threat. Chelsea quickly doubled the lead with a tidy finish. Lanti added a third before Joy stepped up to make her impact. She had been a key figure in build-ups and scored the next three goals with some great finishes. The pick was a terrific move between Joy, Merrick and Lanti. Lanti completed her own hat trick to make the final score 7-0. Player-of-the-week was Joy.

DEREHAM WANDERERS U14 travelled to Aylsham with two key players missing. Dereham started with Phil in goal playing behind Dominic, Jack, Alex again covering at centre-back, and Matt with Titch, Jason, Jamie and Foxy in midfield with Luke C and Luke B up front. Dereham started brightly, almost scoring, with the back four having a great game, protecting the dbutante in goal. After some superb football Luke C broke through to grab a goal. Dereham dominated possession with Titch and Fox tracking back. Luke C scored a cracking second, using strength and determination having been set by a lovely flick from Luke B following a great ball in from Jack. The second half saw Steve introduced. TOFTWOOD UNITED U12 encountered selection problems with the sickness bug claiming both Alfie and Matt and George still nursing a broken finger Toftwood were down to bare bones. Micka was unlucky with his head in the first minutes and then Sonny's cross to Micka pulled a good save. Against the strong wind the midfield of Robbie, Sonny, Sam and Lewis were keeping the pressure on. Lewis floated in a corner, Ryan beat the keeper with his head and Micka smashed into the roof of the net: 1-0. The defence of Luke in goal behind Harry R, Harry T, Josh and Dean were alert at all times. Ryan and Micka were thwarted by the keeper on numerous occasions. Toftwood got the luxury of the wind but Jex made a break and equalised. The Jex keeper who saved his team several times before Lewis broke the deadlock when from outside the area he drilled home for 2-1. The defence, which now included Charlie, were holding firm. Robbie's riffled shot was parried by the keeper to see Micka clean up for 3-1. Man-of-the-match: Josh Starland.

DEREHAM TOWN U11 entertained Mulbarton and took the lead through an own goal. After soaking up some pressure, the Dereham defence produced a nice through ball which Connor finished into the top corner. The first half finished with Mulbarton having a 'goal' disallowed for offside. The second half began at a faster pace, and Dereham were denied by offside. But following some lovely play from Tom, Jamie found himself through with just the keeper to beat to make it 3-0. Almost from the kick-off Mulbarton were unlucky when a lovely chip scraped over the bar. With Mulbarton pressing and short of numbers in defence, Harry cleverly timed his run and hit a great shot with the outside of his foot to extend the lead. Mulbarton finally got a deserved goal back after a good shot from the edge of the area took a big bounce. Straight from the kick-off another fine attack down the left saw Connor hit a post and Harry convert the rebound to make it 5-1. Man of the match: Connor.

REEPHAM U9: Pete Gowing has the side up and running, but would like to strengthen the squad. "We have a great group here, but we could do with one or two more players, so any one who knows of a boy or girl who wants to play football for the Robins should call me on 07917 361115 or the club's head of youth Mike Graver on 07717 760526."

TOFTWOOD U9 travelled to Blofield where they beat Hellesdon 3-0 and Norwich United 2-1. The squad: Ampleford in goal, Long (captain) and Redgrave at the back, Jarvis and Mudd midfield, Copeman playing in the hole, and Reeve the lone striker. Subs for the first game were Molster and JP. The first two goals came from Copeman, both great finishes. The third came from attacking defender Redgrave, looping the ball over the keeper's head from a corner. In the second game Molster replaced Mudd in the centre. The game got off to a flying start and when a cross came in from the right from Jarvis, Molster powered the ball home in the second minute. The game was end to end with Ampleford making some critical saves and clearances, Long and Redgrave not missing a tackle, the midfield creating chances and Reeve and Copeman testing the United keeper. The all-running pair of Mudd and JP were introduced. At 1-1 with only a minute left Copeman got on the end of a superb team move and slid the ball under the keeper. Man-of-the-match: The whole squad.
