Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has enlisted the help of two former Norwich City men in scouring Scandinavia for potential new signings.

The Portman Road boss told Town fanzine Those Were The Days that ex-Canary defender Steen Nedergaard and former manager Bruce Rioch were talent-spotting for the Suffolk club.

Magilton said: “Scandinavia is a part of the world we can do more in.

“We invited Steen Nedergaard, who used to play for Norwich, over a while back because he works for the Danish FA and had conversations with him, so there might be one or two that he gets. He's a link we've forged through Steve Foley.

“Same with Bruce Rioch, who is manager of Odense in Denmark. We've picked his brains too.”
