SWAFFHAM completed the double over Ipswich Wanderers for this season, bringing home another well-deserved three points to Shoemakers Lane.
Still without David Greenwood (injured), Robbie Howling (broken leg), Stuart Seales (work committment) and Keith Polski (returning from injury playing for the Reserves) the Pedlars made the journey east to the home of Ipswich Wanderers, Humber Doucy Lane.
Paul Shafer opened the account in the ninth minute, running onto an Ian Simmons through-ball and slotting past the Ipswich keeper.

Further promising attacks by Kyle Plumb and Andrew Hunter came to no avail and, against the flow of play, the home side equalised in the 29th minute.
Solid defensive work by Stephen Thompson, Tom Rainford, Ben Russell and captain David Spalding ensured that the home side did not further benefit from the half.

Swaffham started the second half strongly and the pressure applied paid off in the 50th minute when Richard Cornwall knocked in from 12 yards following a goalmouth scuffle, Wanderers failing to clear.
Cornwall added his second in the 66th minute, resulting from a foul on Cornwall 30 yards out, a deep free kick by Ben Russell, saw a further goalmouth scramble and Richard cashed in.
Not the prettiest of finishes but needless to say the ball ended up on the right side of the line, 3-1 to Swaffham.
In the 67th minute Paul Shafer was replaced by new signing from Downham Market, Tim Kavanagh, and Matthew Kenny replaced Richard Cornwall in the 83rd.
The changes added some fresh legs and different dynamics to the team and this paid off in the 84th minute with Tim scoring on his Swaffham debut.
This victory maintains Swaffham's mid league position and neutralises their goal difference to date.
The team wishes to thank those hardy supporters who made the trip to support them.
Swaffham first team are at home to Whitton United on Saturday (3pm k/o).
The Reserves travel to Long Stratton Reserves (2pm k/o) and the 'A' Team host Rockland United on the Myers playing Field, Shoemakers Lane (2pm k/o).
Unfortunately this year, due to increased insurance premiums and not being able to secure sponsorship to support the event, Swaffham Town Football Club will not be holding a firework display.
They are sorry for any disappointment for what has always been an enjoyable evening's entertainment in the past.
