KIRKLEY & PAKEFIELD 0, WROXHAM 2: Kirkley were beaten by old adversaries Wroxham to slip off the top of the Ridgeons League on goal difference – Dereham regaining the position they relinquished on Tuesday night.
To Kirkley’s credit they dominated the rest of the half as Tarren Grint’s cross was agonisingly missed by Ali McKenna and Russell Stock glanced a free header wide.
The second half was a scrappy affair, with the only real chance in the opening stages falling to Claudio Langlois – Attridge coming quickly off his line to prevent the danger. Kirkley turned to a more attacking formation, with striker Ryan Crisp coming on, but they suffered a further setback when Ryan De Coteau was adjudged to have fouled Paul Cook in the box, allowing Hilton to step up and score his second goal of the evening.
