Suffolk took a second-minute lead when LUKE READ scored in off the post followed by a second goal by Ben GARNHAM, who netted from 18 yards. Adam MARRIOT, in space, pulled a goal back for Cambridgeshire.
In the 18th minute Ben hit the crossbar and finally Kirkley's Chris Henderson brought out an excellent save by the Cambridgeshire keeper in the 35th minute.
In the second half Suffolk had their keeper Tom Ross in outstanding form as he saved them countless times with saves of the highest standard. The closest the home side came to a goal was when Henderson was scythed down from behind but the referee deemed it was no penalty.
