Michael Bailey chats with the Norwich City supporters outside Pirelli Stadium, ahead of their side’s Championship clash at struggling Burton Albion.
With optimism in the air, the positive predictions poured in from the Canaries’ traveling support ahead of kick-off. If was Norwich’s first ever trip to the Brewers and for a number of fans, their first chance to take in a new ground.
However, the happy thoughts did not last all the way through to the final whistle. Alex Neil’s side lost 2-1 at Pirelli Stadium, thanks to goals from Cauley Woodrow and Michael Kightly, dozy defending from Timm Klose and despite a bit of fortune in Cameron Jerome’s equaliser that eventually proved only a consolation.
The Canaries have a quieter week following their defeat on the Trent. They return to action on Sunday in front of the Sky Sports cameras, for an East Anglian derby day with arch rivals Ipswich Town at Carrow Road in a 12pm kick-off.
