More than 3,000 Norwich City fans have already bought tickets for the final Championship game of the season at Sheffield Wednesday - and it won't cost them as much as they thought.

The Owls announced today that they have reduced ticket prices to £10 for adults and £5 for concessions for the game against the Canaries.

Norwich fans who have already bought tickets at the original price of £21, or £12 for concessions, will now be refunded the difference by the Carrow Road box office team during the week following Sunday's game.

Fans who bought their tickets by credit or debit card will be credited the appropriate amount to their cards. Fans who paid by cheque or cash will be refunded by cheque. It is not necessary to phone or visit the ticket office to claim the refund as it will be handled automatically.

Wednesday's decision to change ticket prices is good news for travelling fans, but has handed the Canaries' staff a major task in issuing more than 3,000 refunds.

Tickets are still available for the game at Hillsborough (2pm), with Wednesday still bidding to secure their place in the Championship next season.

The Canaries are urging fans to buy tickets in advance as prices will go up on matchday to £22, and £12 for concessions.
