Kenny McLean’s first double for the Canaries played its part – although the afternoon was far from straightforward for Daniel Farke’s men.
McLean’s first cancelled out Jamie Paterson’s opener, only for Callum O’Dowda to restore the Robins’ lead within 60 seconds.
But the second half belonged to Norwich, as Ben Godfrey drew City level for a second time before McLean’s gorgeous strike booked a 19 win of the season for the Championship leaders.

City follow their Carrow Road date with a visit to Neil Harris’ Millwall on Saturday. City suffered a sobering 4-0 loss at The Den last season, just a handful of games into Daniel Farke’s reign.
