International duty comes to a conclusion for Norwich City’s players today, with four of Daniel Farke’s players potentially in action.

The majority of the Championship leaders’ squad are already back in training at Colney ahead of Saturday evening’s game at Middlesbrough, yet youngster Max Aarons could be set for a third appearance of the international break.

The right-back played all of the England U19s’ 4-1 win over the Czech Republic at St George’s Park in Burton last Wednesday but started on the bench as Keith Downing’s team tried to seal qualification for the U19 European Championship on Saturday.

However, the 18-year-old was put on in the 65th minute as the young Lions tried to salvage their match against Greece, but couldn’t prevent a 2-1 loss.

Victory is needed against Denmark this afternoon (2pm) to secure qualification for the finals in Armenia in July, with Aarons potentially in line for a seventh cap at U19 level, again at the Football Association’s St George’s Park base.

Teemu Pukki is definitely going to Armenia though, with Finland today (5pm), as qualification for the senior 2020 European Championship continues.

City’s top scorer won his 70th cap as the Finns were beaten 2-0 in Italy on Saturday night, narrowly missing a big chance to equalise and coming off in the 83rd minute.

Ben Godfrey is in Portugal with the England U20s for another Euro Elite League game, against Portugal (7pm).

The defender won his first cap at international youth levels last Friday when he played 90 minutes of a 3-1 loss to Poland at St George’s Park.

While Farke is probably hoping that trio could have a rest instead, City’s head coach will be keen to see Timm Klose in action as Switzerland host Denmark (7.45pm).

The Swiss won 2-0 in Georgia to get their qualifying campaign off to a solid start on Saturday, with Klose an unused substitute in Tblisi.

Tonight’s game is in Klose’s home town of Basel and after his injury issues since late last year – as well as having played all of an impressive 5-2 win over Belgium in November – the centre-back will be hoping for some game time.
