The structure of the remaining Premier League fixtures has been revealed, although Norwich City fans will have to wait for confirmed details as the resuming campaign continues to take shape.

The Premier League has revealed the structure of the remaining fixtures on its website, continuing the theme of matches following the order that had been planned prior to the game’s suspension on March 13 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While these fixtures will clearly have kick-off times moved around by broadcasters, with all 92 outstanding fixtures to be shown live due to fans not being able to attend games, it shows which fixtures are planned to be at weekends and which are planned for midweek.

The provisional fixture list has been released on the Premier League’s website with the clear indication that fixtures from July 3 onwards are subject to change.

City already know the confirmed times and dates for the first three league fixtures following the restart, beginning with a home clash against Southampton on Friday, June 19.

The Canaries also know that their home FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United will be played on Saturday, June 27 and it’s that competition which adds a degree of uncertainty to the schedule.

The semi-finals are due to be played on the weekend of July 18-19 but with the following midweek fixture left clear, it would appear a simple switch would follow for the affected clubs.

Sat July 11 - West Ham H

Sun, July 26 - Man City A

That schedule would allow for the FA Cup final to be held on Saturday, August 1 but uncertainty about the Champions League and Europa League remains, with Uefa due to meet on June 17 to decide how the competitions will be concluded.

Reports suggest fixtures will be played in August but with travel restrictions still in place in some countries due to the pandemic, it remains unclear how that can be achieved, with the hope of 2020-21 domestic seasons starting in September.

Norwich sit bottom of the Premier League and six points from safety ahead of their restart against the Saints next week, having lost 1-0 at Sheffield United on March 7 in their last match.
