Is a hero in his homeland and rightly so.
He has gone on to become captain, as well as his country’s most-capped international of all time.
He scored the first goal of Euro 2004 – a tournament Greece, against all the odds, famously won.
Has a wealth of experience to call upon and lists Inter Milan as one of his former clubs.
Still a tidy and tireless midfield workhorse.
