Hockering 0, Acle Utd 11

A complete all-round performance from Acle Ladies - a credit to the club with some shows of clinical finishing in front of goal.

This result meant Acle also continued their 100% win record in the league this season.

Acle United Ladies were entertained by Hockering at the Gurney Centre Bowthorpe rather than their usual home of Hockering playing field.

After a very strong encounter that was played at the beginning of the season they were expecting a battle!

On a very big pitch that was in a fair condition Acle knew they had to stamp their authority on the game early and did just that after only two minutes Baker sent a shot high and wide.

After five minutes Acle had a throw and after some quick thinking from Cara she found Boast who scored in off a post.

As soon as the kick off was taken Acle stole the ball back and and scored after Ashman poked home from close range.

It was soon three when Hooper calmly slotted home past the keeper. Acle by this time had well and truly taken control of the game and the goal of the game came on the 20-minute mark when E Anderson dribbled the ball in and out of Hockering players from the left back spot at drove home from 18 yards, in off the underside of the bar.

With Acle keeper Holl almost redundant they were playing some really attractive football and the fifth soon arrived with a good finish from Ashman. Half time was fast approaching when top goal scorer Baker got herself on the sheet, half time 6-0.

The second half started with the game over unless an onslaught from Hockering was on the way but Ashman stopped any worries of that happening when completing her hat-trick by slotting home past the sub keeper. Baker then scored to make it eight with a similar finish to Ashman, Baker also completed her hat-trick with a good header following a cross from O’Hara.

The all-important tenth goal of the game came from Woollaston after reacting quickest to a loose ball and found the net with aplomb. With only minutes remaining Ashman completed the scoring with her fourth and Acle’s eleventh of the match.

Final score Hockering 0, Acle Utd 11.
