Ben Alnwick's loan spell at Norwich City is unlikely to be affected by an injury to goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes, after Tottenham recalled David Button from Crewe as cover.
Brazilian stopper Gomes was helped off the pitch during Spurs' 5-1 Premier League win at Hull, with Carlo Cudicini deputising - something he is set to continue to do on Sunday against West Ham.
Gomes has undergone a scan and is expected to visit a specialist over the thigh injury, with no time frame set for his comeback from Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Alnwick was behind Gomes and Cuducini at Spurs before joining the Canaries on a three-month loan deal. He is due to return to White Hart Lane at the end of October. The former England U21 international has been between the sticks for City since Michael Theoklitos suffered a disastrous debut against Colchester on the opening day of the season.
