Gorleston can be proud of cup battle
Gorleston Rangers Ladies played Waveney in a cup competition.
Waveney play in the league above but with lots of girls who know each other this was set to be a very competative game between these two sides and it didnt disappoint.
Waveney had the first opportunity when they were awarded a penalty which was well struck but amy in the Gorleston goalkeeper pulled off another superb save and eventually Gorleston made an error which gifted Waveney a goal.
Gorleston are working on this and will put it right very soon.
In the second half both teams created chances and with 20 minutes to go Gorleston had to gamble and over commit and they got their reward with a superb strike from outside the area by Bobbie.

This really opened game up and soon after a great team move Gorleston came very close to going 2-1 up but wasnt to be.
Waveney kept pushing forward and were awarded a free kick from about 25 yards out and what a strike! It was superb and was worthy of winning any game.
